Imaginarium Designs May Share.

Hi everyone, Hope you all had a wonderful Mothers Day and had a very relaxing day. I'm back this month to share some of the pieces that I created recently.

My first piece was produced for the amazing Kraft+ Out of the Box Challenge which Imaginarium Designs were sponsoring this month. The challenge was to not use square or rectangular photos on a Kraft paper stock background.

I used a honeycomb die from Tim Holtz to cut out the photo and covered the hexagon shapes out of the Honeycomb chipboard and Loolabelles' nested hexagons to compliment the photo shape. The title 'Got the travel bug' and 'oh yeah' were painted with acrylic paint.

My second piece is a journal page. I love using my handmade journal to explore techniques, paints/inks and products. I alway use pieces of Imaginarium chipboard in this journal.

The background was created using Finnabair metallic paints over gessoed pages and tissue paper with distressed printed material and material threads. The chipboard obtained it's sparkling depth was a simple layer of Finnabair metallic teal paint or StazOn Midnight blue ink.

The chipboard I used included:
Birdcage (4 on board) IDT0009

Explore Adventure Discover IDW0100

Skeltonal feather IDDL006
Morrocan Corner IDC0013
The third piece is a canvas layout using Inktense pencils to draw interlocking squares like the chipboard I used.

Happy Scrapping everyone and see you next month. More wonderful pieces of art are coming from our design team so stay tuned and in contact so you don't miss out.

Scrappy Chat 'Believe' Kit - Second layout share.

Hello Sandi here with you today to share my second layout I have created using the

Scrappy Chat Designs

'Believe' kit

My favourite kit so far, I chose these papers because of their vibrancy yet delicate colours with the designs lending themselves to so many possibilities.  The stickers sheet is full of inspiration in both colour and words for titles.

There is a stencil in the kit which is one that can be used in so many backgrounds and the Distress Oxide ink pad included is from Rangers is the perfect colour to stencil with, edge, distress or highlight a range of materials.

I had lot of fun making the pages I created and creating the videos and instructions in this kit for you to try.

We love camping and don't have to have an excuse to jump in the car and hook on the camper and head off to enjoy the open spaces.

The items I used included:

  • Kraft Paper Stock: Plain and Patterned

  • Kraft paper tag

  • White Gesso

  • Tim Holtz Stencil 'Treads'

  • Tim Holtz Alterations Die 'Honeycomb'

  • Kaisercraft Clear stamp 'Sketchy'

  • Ranger Distress Oxide Ink 'Vintage Photo'

  • Hessian

  •  Magenta Acrylic Paint

  • Black Wire Thread

  •  Staz On Black Ink

  • Imaginarium Designs Chipboard:

Honeycomb 6x6 IDS0054

Loolobelle's nested hexagons IDD0017

Just Kidding Oops oh yeah blah blah IDW0098

Got the travel bug IDP0206

I covered the hexagons shapes with the patterned kraft paper and painted the words with the Magenta acrylic paint.

The Distress oxide was used with the Treads stencil over the white gesso with StazOn used to stamp with the 'Sketchy' background stamp.

I used my Big Shot Sizzix Cutting Machine and the Tim Holtz Alterations Die 'Honeycomb' to cut the photo into a puzzle of sorts. I glued the pieces onto another piece of Kraft paper to strengthen the photo as well as stopping it from falling into pieces again. I kept some pieces out and cut the Kraft paper out to give it a more 3D look.

Thanks for popping over and checking out my lastest creation. So how about it???.... Take on the challenge and have some fun.......I look forward to seeing the creations that you design to enter into this creative challenge over at Kraft+.

Kraft + swatch it up challenge- April 17

Hello everyone today I'd love to share one of the designs I've created using the new 'Believe' kit over at Scrappy Chat Designs for the Kraft+ swatch it up Challenge.

This is favourite kit so far. It was fun thinking of ways to incorporate the paint swatches with the wonderful papers in the kit. I love the papers because of their vibrancy yet delicate colours with the designs lending themselves to so many possibilities. I was able to use the stencil with both Distress Oxide ink pad from Rangers and white gesso finding the ink was the perfect colour to stencil with, edge, distress or highlight the white wood grain card stock.

Thanks for popping over and checking out one of my latest creations.

I love the kits at Scrappy Chat Designs and if you are sick of using the same products in the same way  OR maybe you can't get to classes to learn new techniques be it due to distance or time poor?

"All that Awesome" -Scrappy Chat Designs.

Hello Scrappy Chat Friends Sandi here with you today to share a layout I have created using the AWESOME "Be You" kit.

I enjoyed being able to explore some ideas to scrap my grandson using this fantastic masculine paper selection. The great variety of panels provides you with so many options of what you can do with this kit. You will have plenty of leftovers that you will be able to use to create so many more wonderful projects.

I have had fun working with the included stencil, cogs and stickers with the exclusive Grey Color Crush powder and Dina Wakley Acrylic paint to create a soft background with a layered finish.

Imaginarium Designs March Inspiration.

Hi everyone, Sandi here back to share with you all what I've been having fun creating using our wonderful Imaginarium Design Chipboard.

My first project piece is my 'Autumn' inspired tag.
I collect cardboard boxes and use it for cutting out my tags and to lift embellishments and photos on my layouts to provide depth to my creations. I apply mixed media, assorted papers and embellishments in conjunction with 'Lindys Stamp Gang' inks and sprays to decorate my cardboard tags. The chippie was sprayed with white gesso and then painted with Lindy Stamp Gang inks and the butterfly then lightly embossed as well.

Imagination Design chipboard I used on this project include:

IDT0014 4 small butterflies

Isobel lower case IDA0010
Madison flourish IDFL0019

My second project was created in my handmade journal book.
Using 'Lindys Stamp Gang' sprays, black watercolour pencil and book pages with a mix of Imaginarium Alphabet chippie.
I glued  the chipboard Alpha mix and then covered each piece with torn book pages using matte transparent media. When dry I sprayed ink into a palette and using a spray bottle filled with water and a large water loaded brush  added the spray ink onto the page in layers drying in between.
The 2 page journal page was segmented using a black watercolour pencil and shading the lines with water giving them the look of eight sections.

Imagination Design chipboard I used on this project include:

Isobel lower case IDA0010

Lower case (18 on a card) IDALC0001A

code IDW0094 #instagram etc.

My last creation is a layout celebrating the time I love sharing with my children, a day out shopping and having  time to sit, chat and a coffee together.
I used 'Lindy Stamp Gang' inks watered down on the outer plastic sleeve that the chipboard is packaged in. I chose a large sleeve as I wanted to make circles that resembled coffee cup base stains.
With a mix of acrylic paints and Lindy's I was able to match the colours and pattern from the paper to the chevrons arrow chipboard pieces.

Imagination Design chipboard I used on this project include:

Loolabelles Chevrons 1 IDDL0020

IDD0046 Loolabells's callours 4 in a board
My favourite travel photos IDW0061

Thanks for visiting and I hope we have inspired you to try out some new ideas and create with our amazing Imaginarium Design Chipboard.
Hope to see you again soon.
